| Development of rural and cultural tourism is widely seen as an area with development potential for the underdeveloped border region of north-eastern Serbia with Romania. The project provided a systematic approach to tourism development based on a wide partnership of several municipalities from both sides of the border. The institutional base for further development is the established tourism information centre in Totovo Selo. | | |

| The project objective of development and promotion of rural tourism through the use of local resources of under developed micro-regions of the Romania-Serbia cross-border region was achieved.
The professional skills of persons working or willing to work in the field of rural tourism were significantly upgraded through seminars. Young people are involved in promotion and development of rural tourism which diminishes the chances of migration to towns in order to find employment.
The expansion of the rural tourism offer is expected to continue after completion of the project and new projects are already planned.
The information office is expected to continue organizing trainings and programmes, which will be presented in an annual programme booklet. Traditional programmes, such as: The Gastronomy Festival, Carnival, The Days of Roses, The Days of Maze, Needlepoint Exhibition, etc, will continue to be organized.
The tourism information office will be financed from the budget of the municipality. | | |
